The Poor Clares at Faughart are pleased to offer for sale a variety of items created in the Monastery.
CDs, Word Books and Music Books
written and composed by Sr. Briege O’Hare, osc
Sr. Briege has been involved in music and writing songs since she was a young child. The compositions on these CDs have come from her prayer. They are based on various, significant spiritual writings, from the Scriptures, the writings of the mystics, and from ancient Celtic prayers. The songs are sung by Sr. Marie Cox, a Sister of Mercy from Enniskillen, N. Ireland. Many people find these songs are an aid to their personal and community prayer. The sisters sing these songs in the monastery here in Faughart during their prayer together.

Iconography - cards and prints by
Sr. Rose McSherry, osc
From early childhood Sr. Rose was fascinated by all things artistic and at a very early age she explored the art of brush and paint on paper. Having spent many years dabbling in oils and watercolours she began to feel drawn to icons and to pray with them. During the opportunity to learn the art of writing icons she came to understand God was calling her to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel in this very powerful, mystical way.

Photography - Fine art greeting cards and prints by
Sr. Pamela Thimmes, osc
As a photographer since her youth, Sr. Pam is an outdoor/nature generalist, equally at home with landscape, wildlife and macro photography. She is always “chasing the light”, looking for the convergence of light, color and form, searching for simple lines, intriguing patterns, refraction and reflections of nature’s colors that speak to the soul. I see in the natural world the very thing Thomas Berry speaks of, “The natural world is the larger sacred community to which we belong.”
With over 80 images available from locales across the United States and Ireland, in either fine art prints or hand-printed cards, a small sample is shown below.
All cards include envelop, are blank on the inside and individually packaged in a clear, protective envelop.
